Yeah it seems rough, my guild will likely do geo TB as soon as its out cuz new content but then we will have to thoroughly analyse which gives better rewards and the gap between focused and top players and the bottom players will increase a lot. You have probably thousands, if not tens of thousands of long term players on the precipice of quitting due to many of the recent decisions you're making and yet you continue to create extreme animosity towards the developers. Shorter phases/running more frequently never actually made it into the game, a bunch of loud people just prememptively complained about it without experiencing it. So they've got the community up in arms against them more than should have happened. The extra shards for the people with 7* solo just get converted into extra gear to make up the difference anyway, and extra guild currency certainly helps when farming some hard to acquire characters (like ewoks, for C3PO, or Jyn Erso, for TB/raids). And it's easily possible for people to be in a place where they need rewards from both. They did it to cut down on shard shop currency, same reason they basically halved the frequency of assault battles and changed other events from 2 to 1 day. B2 is proving to be a hero for me in this battle adding Buff Immunity and dispelling. Every guild member that participated in the event will receive the same reward when the event is over. You can increase this infinite amount by choosing to run hoth Tb if you want. Could be that the Geo TB is harder, so guilds with less developed rosters who could get like 40 stars in Hoth would get more stuff from Hoth than they would from Geo because they can't get far in Geo, but a guild that can get 100% stars in Hoth can do well enough in Geo that they get into a rewards tier that is better than Hoth. Hoth TB is now just a torture chamber for guilds under 80M GP—who probably struggle to get 30 stars anyway—until they can enter the new torture chamber of Geonosis. I think this is good news. Overall, the entire guild credits are about 9% lower if you sim, but tokens are about 10% better and the shards dropped are 168% higher.
